She loved to fish and spent any spare time fishing off the rocks at Fort Peck Dam. La Verne carved a number of birds out of wood that rivaled those of any professional carver! This came in handy during her stay in California for cancer treatment.

La Verne was an avid quilter and made many special quilts for family members and friends.

She attended Indiana University for 2 ½ years and 2 summers at Liberty College in Lynchburg, VA.

La Verne Arlene (Lacock) Davis, age 82 of Glasgow, MT passed away July 9, 2018 at the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow after waging a fierce 2-year battle against colon cancer.

She was born to Thomas and Alpha Lacock on March 9, 1936, in Hinsdale, MT and lived there until the family moved to Sandpoint, ID in 1949.

While receiving her education, she worked at a local community hospital.

In 1972, she began teaching school at the Family Christian Academy.

During winter months, he and his siblings hand pumped water for 100 head of cows between feedings.
