She has a bright personality and strong sense of justice.
Kim Bok-Joo and her friends on the female weightlifting team are not popular with the guys and they don't have boyfriends.
So in the end, everything backfires on them because the result winds up being a disappointing combination of grandeur, fluff, and baseless hype with no substance.
I mean, don't get me wrong, everyone loves a bit of complexity and extravagance (when done right, take note) with regards to a drama's plot and storytelling.
Kim Bok-Joo (Lee Sung-Kyung) is a promising collegiate female weightlifter.
I also love how they touched issues like psychotherapy, eating disorders, parenthood, etc.I am currently re-watching it and there is just something about the plot and chemistry between the characters that makes it very exciting. They really are able to sell a believable story that I love. Many dramas use these weird crazy fantasy elements to make it exciting but this down to Earth story really excites me. No fantasy elements, no faux symbolisms, no crazy and confusing plot twists/holes, and no pretentious writing here.. I am expecting more film that Lee sung kyung and Nam joo Hyuk will work together their chemistry is really different among others actors, this drama is so pure, honest, simple, and not the least bit pretentious in any way.Kim Bok-Joo then falls into the swimming pool and Jung Joon-Hyung jumps into the pool to save her. I thought this drama was very sweet and refreshing, and I liked all the pairings. The friendships were also great and the actor playing Nan Hee is really starting to grow on me (I'm sad Hye-Jung never seems to get the guy though). It depicts the reality of life which makes it refreshing. At that moment, Kim Bok-Joo and Jung Joon-Hyung realize where they have seen each other before. I started to love her here after hating her from Cheese in the Trap. I shipped them after this drama, too bad they already broke up. Seung-Kyung after having played many roles as the "antagonist" I really liked seeing her as a lead, and the same with Joon-Hyung, they are great actors and I wish to see more of them in the future. Many of us could relate from growing with family pressure like Seok Ok and Si Ho, having a crush and getting broken hearted like Bok Joo, being in a friendzone for like Doctor Ko, Bok Joo’s uncle and Coach Choi. One day on campus, Kim Bok-Joo bumps into Jung Joon-Hyung while he is riding his bicycle. After he leaves, Kim Bok-Joo picks up a handkerchief left behind by Jung Joon-Hyung.
